Thursday 22 October

Arrive, drop your bag, find the fire.

• 17:00 – 17:30 Leave Tel Aviv

  Cars go when their four are ready. It's about three hours on a Thursday afternoon (so earlier leaving is better for traffic)

  
  

• 18:00 – 20:30 Check in, settle

  Find your tent, unpack, put on the warm thing you packed. It gets cold up here after dark.

  
  

• 20:30 Fire, and the first night together

  Everyone brings one bottle and one thing to share. We'll do a round of the circle early so you know who everybody is before the weekend gets going.

  
  

Friday 23 October

One outing, one long afternoon, one very good dinner.

• 10:30 – 14:00 Out into the Golan

  Everyone who's booked votes on this one. Mount Bental for the views, Banias for the waterfall, or the Odem winery for a slower morning. Lunch happens while we're out, in a Druze village on the way back. Bring cash, roughly ₪120

  
  

• 14:30 – 17:00 Nothing at all

  Deliberately empty. Nap, shower, sit around and talk. This is the part people say they needed most.

  
  

• 19:00 Friday dinner

  One long table, candles, all of us. Catered, and the best meal of the weekend. Included.

  
  

• 21:00 Back to the fire

  Music, wine, whatever the night turns into.

  
  

Saturday 24 October

Slow, and longer than you'd expect.

• 08:30 – 10:30 Breakfast, slowly

  Included. Surface whenever you surface.

  
  

• 10:30 – 12:00 Walk in forest near Ortal, if you want it

  Gentle, starts at the edge of the site, entirely optional.

  
  

• 12:00 – 13:00 Closing circle, photo, leftovers table

  One sentence each on what you're taking home, then we eat everything that's left and take the picture before anyone drives off.

  
  

• 14:00 Checkout

  Cars leave when they're ready. Most of us will stop in Katzrin for coffee. Home in Tel Aviv around five.

Booking

How to hold your spot

₪350 holds your bed. The balance, ₪850 Club / ₪950 general, I will send invoices October 1st and payment is due by October 10th.

The deposit isn't refundable, because we pay the tents up front whether or not the bed is filled. But your spot is transferable.

If something comes up, pass it to a friend or to someone on the waitlist and we'll move the name over. There are nineteen spots and four tents. When they're gone they're gone.

Before you book

Things worth knowing

You'll share a tent with four other women. Five separate beds, nobody shares a bed. You can name one person you'd like to be with and we'll build the rest around that, so you always have someone you know and also meet people you don't.

Bathrooms are per block of tents.

It gets properly cold. We're 915 metres up. Days around 24°C, nights heading toward 10°C. Bring a real jacket, not a hoodie. The tents have heating and there is a fire.

This is glamping, not a hotel and not camping. Designed tents with proper beds, wooden floors and air conditioning, on a kibbutz site in the forest. Comfortable, but you're outside.

We're not the only ones on site. Ortal has thirty tents and ours are four of them, kept together in one cluster. There'll be other guests around, and quiet hours on Friday night.

There is an option to stay until the end of Shabbat
